Support Lindfield is a community group set up in 2012 to lobby the Council for a community hub on the current Woodford Lane parking lot behind the shops on the west side of Pacific Highway. This was in place of a 3-storey commuter parking station. Fast forward to 2018 and we’re still working on it. Here’s the latest and how you can help.
The Lindfield Village Hub project is now entering a new phase as Council invites developers/property investors to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to undertake the project, including creating the community components (library, public space, parking etc.) The result of the EOI is that up to six developers will be shortlisted and asked to submit more detailed proposals.
There are going to be discussions about trade-offs, particularly in relation to building heights. This survey aims to try to understand some of the community’s preferences regarding these issues.
In this survey ask questions to gain your view on several critical components or issues that will determine the uses, arrangement and design of the Lindfield Village Hub. This information will allow Support Lindfield to inform Council and hold our elected Councillors accountable for the outcomes desired by their constituency. It will also be valuable information for developers in the tendering process to understand the outcomes that the community want.
Please complete this survey now and tell us what you want. And help us to get a huge response by sending this message to your local friends and neighbours. It will take you about 10 minutes. And please visit our new website at www.supportlindfield.net
